Audiophile Base is a UK company making audio furniture for the discerning customer who wants the very best support system for his audio equipment. A high quality of construction is very important as is strength and rigidity. Vitally important is isolation from the unwanted vibrations of the audio equipment it`s self and of course from the loudspeakers. This range of supports offers all of these requirements all at very sensible prices.

Pictured above is the new "top of the range" QuattraBase Support System in three tier format with StrataBase and Base vibration control platforms in place. Whilst all other support systems in the range use a tripod design the QuattraBase use four rigid legs to support it`s much large size. This makes it more suitable for very heavy equipment.

There are three more Support Systems in the range, all modular in design with various tube lenth`s available to give the desired spacing between shelves. All components are light in weight but when assembled it gives a very strong and rigid structure, the ideal construction for the best isolation.

The range starts with the QBase Support System which is designed for 3/4 sized equipment and incorporates resonance control as part of the shelf construction.

Next model up is the Standard Support System which requires Base vibration control platforms on each shelf for maximum benefit. Awarded Best Buy and a Gold award by Hi-Fi Choice in 2008

The last of the tripod designs is the very impressive StarBase Support System, again needs Base vibration control platforms, but excels with the heavier StrataBase platforms. What Hi-Fi awarded the Starbase 5 Stars and said "with high-end hi-fi the results are spectacular. It adds space, refinement and extra detail; treble is smooth while bass gains weight and power. It`s built like the proverbial tank, too".

The four support systems use spacer tubing to give the different heights between platforms, they are:-

155mm long to give a usable height of 120mm (QBase 155mm).

205mm long to give a usable height of 170mm (QBase 205mm).

255mm long to give a usable height of 220mm (QBase 255mm).

305mm long to give a usable height of 270mm (QBase 305mm).

385mm long to give a usable height of 350mm (QBase 385mm).

For maximum retrieval of information from the support systems a vibration control platform is needed. Audiophile Base have two units that do just that and are designed specifically to fit the three full sized systems, although they can also be used for many other applications.

The "Base" vibration control platform uses a unique patented suspension system to dissipate external and internal energies acting on all components in the audio chain making for improved sound quality. Highly praised in Hi-Fi World.
